recycle reuse reduce

EST 2012

We at lonali believe that consumption should be approached thoughtfully. Where possible we should recycle (or upcycle in our case), reuse things we already have and reduce our impact on the environment and human resources. lonali is the antidote to the rise of fast fashion, providing you with uncompromising style that doesn’t cost the earth.

lonali lovingly upcycles unwanted textiles from large manufacturers, waste that would otherwise end up as landfill, and transforms them into original clothes and lifestyle products. lonali works closely with the cottage industries in Sri Lanka to hand-make our pieces, providing income in fair conditions for local artisans.

lonali design has won several awards and consistent media attention within Sri Lanka, and our team are excited to bring our philosophy and aesthetic to one of the largest fashion and cultural hubs, London.

So, what exactly is upcycling? Upcycling is also known as creative reuse. It’s the process of transforming by-products, waste materials or unwanted products into new materials or products of better quality or for better environmental value.
